Cinnamon is my favorite spice.

New Year’s Eve. 2018

Day 365, I am writing at the final page of my journal in this cold rainy morning while enjoying a cup cinnamon tea.

I see my notifications on my phone. My social media feed is so full of events: celebrities reunited, colleagues getting married and starting a family, engagements, promotions, kardashian emojis, some gifs of Ms. Philippines being crowned as our Ms. Universe and also the ever-so-glamorous “lava walk” gifs. I also see some posting the #bestnine on instagram to sum up their year. Oh wait, bullying is also trending. I also see that I am receiving a chain of Happy New Year gifs which I find sparkly!

I switch to the newspaper, I see similar events.

As a selective introvert, I rarely post on my social media sites. I am as some would say, very private and minimalist. That is a fact, but hey, I think this deserves a thumbs up.

It would be hard to sum up my year in one sentence. And just like my social media feed, my 2018 has been a plethora of celebrations, a few challenges down the road and it was absolutely

worth it. I am thankful that my parents were able to celebrate their anniversary, my sister graduated college, we had our house warming, my childhood buddy got engaged, Julius and I tied the knot, had an autumn-themed wedding (thanks to the people who made it extra special, you know who you are), we also had the Amor and Padagdag reunion, had a family moon at some cool city, and Julius and I got tenure. I remember praying for all these things years ago, had my fair share of ups and downs and I am forever grateful. Thank you Daddy God for a miraculous year!

Thank you too, for reading this. I pray for you to have peace, prosperity, abudance and may this be your year of breakthrough!

Before I take some time off from social media to work on some projects, here are some photos to sum up my 2018. As Ariana Grande would put it “Thank U, Next”

Here I am saying:

THANK U 2018! NEXT CHAPTER!!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Namaste, 🙏🏽
